Joining AIIFL as Honorary Fellows

AIIFL welcomes any Academic or Professional outside HKU who meet the following criteria to apply to join as Honorary Fellows:

  1. Academic excellence and/or professional practice knowledge/experience,
  2. Leader in his/her field, and
  3. Willing to contribute to AIIFL’s work.  Please submit a detailed statement (maximum 2 pages) how you intend to make a contribution.

Benefits of being an AIIFL Honorary Fellow

Being an AIIFL Honorary Fellow is a recognition of your expertise and excellence in your fields and connects you to AIIFL’s network of international experts, some of whom are serving on AIIFL Advisory Boards. In addition, you will have the following benefits:

  1. be placed on AIIFL mailing list to receive news and event announcements;
  2. receive free attendance or discount for AIIFL events (eg seminars/conferences/executive courses);
  3. free (or up to 50% discount) for attending AIIFL annual dinner at your own cost of transportation or travel;
  4. can apply to join or be invited to join AIIFL’s research projects;
  5. be invited to deliver AIIFL lectures/seminars;
  6. if your ordinary residence is outside Hong Kong, you may apply for up to two nights accommodation when visiting AIIFL to conduct research/seminar/lecture/conference. Longer stay may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Duration of Fellowship

Once your application is approved, you will be conferred the Fellowship for one year and be considered for renewal annually thereafter until you write to us to terminate your fellowship.

Cost of being an AIIFL Honorary Fellow

Fellowship is FREE at the moment. We will endeavor to keep the annual renewal free as well if our funding and resources permit.
