Ranilo B. Hermida is an assistant professor at the Philosophy Department of the Ateneo de Manila University (Manila, Philippines). He obtained his Doctorate in Philosophy from Monash University (Victoria, Australia) where he also received the 2010 Faculty of Arts Postgraduate Publication Award. He has published works and presented papers in national as well as international journals and conferences. His doctoral thesis is on the theory of law and democracy of Jürgen Habermas vis-à-vis Philippine Democracy.
