Paddy McQueen is a PhD researcher in the School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy at Queen’s University Belfast. He is currently exploring contemporary feminist perspectives on theories of recognition, with a particular focus on transsexual and transgendered identities. Important theoretical influences include Judith Butler, Rosi Braidotti and Elizabeth Grosz. He is the co-author of Key Concepts in Philosophy (Palgrave: 2010) and has published several articles on recognition, feminism and the metaphysics of identity.
