Dr. LENG Jing is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law, the University of Hong Kong. She received her LLB degree from Peking University in 1997 with the highest distinction and graduated first in her class. She was also awarded LLM degrees in 2000 by Peking University and Kyushu University (Japan), respectively. She earned her doctorate (Doctor of Juridical Science) from the University of Toronto in 2005. Prior to joining the University of Hong Kong, Dr. Leng was a fellow of the Capital Markets Institute, University of Toronto from 2001 to 2005, and a fellow of the Centre for Financial Law Studies, Peking University from 2000 to 2001. She is an editor of the Hong Kong Law Journal.
Dr. Leng has multidisciplinary research interests and has published in the areas of financial regulation, comparative corporate governance, and law and development. Her work has appeared in several prestigious journals, including Peking University Law Journal (中外法學), Peking University Law Review ((北大法律評論)) and Virginia Law Review.
