Born and raised in Hong Kong, Trevor Morris won the South China Morning Post’s Student of the Year award while attending Diocesan Boy’s School, and subsequently entered Corpus Christi College, Cambridge as an Open Exhibitioner to read Law, culminating in a BA (later MA), LLM and PhD.
As part of his research for his doctoral thesis on “One Country, Two Systems”, he worked as legal researcher and translator for the Consultative Committee for the Basic Law of Hong Kong in the two consultative periods during the drafting of the Basic Law.
After some years in England lecturing law at Buckingham University, he returned to Hong Kong where he now works in the private sector.
