Welcome to Hong Kong Law Journal

The Leading Journal on Hong Kong and China Law

The Hong Kong Law Journal was founded in 1971 and is the leading scholarly journal in the English language on common law in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and law in the mainland PRC. It is a peer-reviewed journal, providing up-to-date, academic, authoritative and critical analysis of current legal issues in Hong Kong and the PRC. In addition, the journal accepts and publishes comparative, jurisprudential, international, and interdisciplinary material relevant to the study of law.

The Journal enjoys a wide circulation throughout the common law world. It is available online on a current, full text basis on Westlaw. It is indexed by Scopus, the Social Sciences Citation Index, Current Contents/Social & Behavioral Sciences, and the Index to Legal Periodicals. It is abstracted on the Social Science Research Network, and is available in a full text version on a delayed (one-year) basis on Hein Online and the HKU HUB (selected articles only).

A list of articles (1971-current) and the abstracts of articles (2000-current), as well as a list of other books published by Hong Kong Law Journal can be viewed on this website.
