We are a group of HKU Master of Laws in Arbitration & Dispute Resolution graduates whose diverse professional backgrounds include academia, banking, commerce, construction, engineering, information technology, law, shipping and social work, etc. Our Alumni Association was founded in 2009, shortly after Hong Kong’s Civil Justice Reform came into effect in April of the same year. It was registered in accordance with the privision of section 5A(1) of the Societies Ordinance on August 26, 2009.
We believe that the development of additional dispute resolution processes complementary to formal adjudicatory process is at a historic juncture in Hong Kong. We also believe that dispute resolution concerns everyone and covers the full spectrum of human interactions and experiences. We would like to contribute and enhance our knowledge and expertise and see dispute resolution develop into a truly multidisciplinary enterprise for all walks of life in Hong Kong and greater China.
