‘Humans and Technology are becoming one, and it’s changing everything’. This sentence best fits the digital era of present time. These days, technology-based products integrate the agility of information system, network-based communication system and electronic system. Telecommunication, media, and informatics, as forms of a technology innovation, no longer work separately, but they converge and blend into the life of society. In business, entrepreneurs compete to use technology to innovate products, extend their marketing network, reduce production cost, open wider access to product and service sales. This demands the maximum utilisation of technology, giving customers wider access to products and services in a very practical and cheaper way locally, regionally and globally. Surprisingly, the existence of this form of technology and the innovation developed by it is still seen disruptive to the existing businesses, and finally it manages to replace the old version of technology. This paper is aimed to analyse the vast development of online transportation business in Indonesia which is commonly taken as disruptive innovation. To date, based on transportation law applied, Indonesia has not fully accommodated online transportation business, which leads to social conflict in society such as strikes by those that have run conventional transportation business through generations. This research also analyze of correlation between the existence of online transportation as phenomenon of technological disruption with the utilization of Big Data. Normative juridical research method will be applied with statute approach focused on the regulation regarding transportation and information technology in Indonesia, in addition to case and conceptual approach related to telecommunication, media, and informatics convergence. This research is also aimed to describe the harmony between the convergence of telecommunication technology, media, and informatics and policy regulation of transportation in Indonesia as part of disruptive innovation.
