How does the COVID-19 pandemic impact financial technology (FinTech)? How can we leverage FinTech to overcome the challenges posed by COVID-19? What are the micro and macro transformations needed for FinTech to adapt to a post-COVID-19 world? These are some of the questions we wish to explore.

Speaker: Professor Douglas Arner is Kerry Holdings Professor in Law, Director of the Asian Institute of International Financial Law, and Associate Director of the new HKU-Standard Chartered Foundation FinTech Academy at the University of Hong Kong. He specialises in economic and financial law, regulation and development. In recent years, he has devoted his research to the intersection of Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship. He led the development of the world’s largest massive open online course (MOOC): Introduction to FinTech.
