1.2 Course description

Students who have been selected as members of the team to represent the University of Hong Kong in one of the designated competitions in the International Mooting Programme of the Faculty of Law are eligible to enroll in this course.

These competitions may involve the preparation as members of a team of substantial written memorials, as well as participation in oral rounds.

A member of the Faculty will act as supervisor for those enrolled in the course.  Assessment for the course may include components for written work, oral advocacy, and a brief individual research paper.

With the Head's permission, it is possible to take this course on a non-credit earning basis.

2.1 Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) for this course

CLO 1 Acquire skills in legal research and writing.

Remarks: the normative student study load per credit unit is 25 ± 5 hours (ie. 150 ± 30 hours for a 6-credit course), which includes all learning activities and experiences within and outside of classroom, and any assessment task and examinations and associated preparations.
