 HKU Faculty of Law receives 144,000 masks from the China-Europe Law Foundation (CELF)

17 March 2020

HKU Faculty of Law (the Faculty) receives a donation of 144,000 surgical masks from China-Europe Law Foundation (the Foundation) today. The Faculty appreciates the Foundation’s generosity and support. As agreed by the Foundation, a portion is reserved to the HKU Faculty of Law students who need to come back for in-hall examinations/face-to-face assessments, and to the University as support for redistribution to front-line staff.  The remaining, around 100,000 masks, will be channeled to the underpriviledged groups in Hong Kong through the HK Council of Social Services and the Society of Community Organization; and to the hospital staff of Queen Mary Hospital as a gesture of support and appreciation on their bravery to fight against the Coronavirus.

香港大學法律學院(學院)獲中歐法律基金會(基金會)捐贈約144,000個外科用口罩，得基金會同意，學院決定將部份口罩供大學師生、前線職員、以及需以面授形式進行考試及評核之法律系學生使用，並將餘下的約100,000個口罩，經社聯及香港社區組織協會轉贈給基層市民、以及交予瑪麗醫院。學院感謝基金會之餘，亦盼望藉此向前線醫護致意，並在這艱難時刻，與港人同行。
