Legal Writing Clinic Trains Students’ Analytical Skills

student1

The Faculty is deeply committed to its mission to facilitate the highest intellectual development of our students by honing their analytical skills.  To this end, the Department of Law introduced a Legal Writing Clinic in September 2014, whereby students studying the Law of Contract submit their written work to a consultant, who marks the work line-by-line, and meets the student in a one-on-one consultation session to provide individualized feedback.  This colossal task would not have been possible were it not for the generous support of a dedicated team of Legal Writing Consultants.  They include 19 barristers from Temple Chambers, three of whom are senior counsel, and experienced practitioners and alumni including Urania Chan, Edmund Cham, Jojo Fan and Paddy Law.  Our students responded very well and found such individualized feedback particularly useful.
