Biography
祖里亞博士是香港大學法學副教授、亞洲國際金融法研究院研究員、副總監和高等教育學院院士。自2010年以來,祖里亞博士被任命為聯合國國際貿易法委員會第六工作組(擔保權益)意大利代表團的法律專家。在此職位上,他為旨在促進獲得信貸的國際軟法文書起草, 聯合國大會於2016年通過的《貿易法委員會擔保交易示範法》和《貿易法委員會擔保交易示範法實踐指南》(2019)也以此為基礎,作出了重大貢獻。
祖里亞博士的研究和教學興趣在監管治理、國際金融法和合規領域,聚焦於證券、銀行和保險監管。他在著名的學術期刊上發表文章,如《Modern Law Review》、《Law & Contemporary Problems》和《Fordham International Law Journal》,他的研究得到了不同司法管轄區的競爭性資助計劃的支持,如英國經濟和社會研究委員會(ESRC)的影響因子加速器賬戶。目前,他正在領導幾個專注於法律、法規和技術創新交叉點的研究議題。同時,他是受香港研究資助局優配研究金(GRF 2020)資助的「 Creating Credit: Law Reforms, Policy Tensions, and Disruptive Technologies」項目的首席研究員。

祖里亞博士擁有博科尼大學(意大利米蘭)的法學學位、巴黎理工學院的經濟學和社會科學博士學位(最高榮譽),以及由都靈大學法律、經濟和機構中心授予的法學博士學位(無更正論文)。他的博士研究得到了一個促進法意科學領域國際合作的政府機構(法意大學芬奇博士獎學金)的全力支持。在加入香港大學之前,他曾在華威大學法學院工作。在華威大學,他曾管理由華威商學院和英倫銀行授予的研究生(中央銀行和金融監管資格)課程。在此之前,他是倫敦政治經濟學院法律系的LSE研究員。 祖里亞博士經常受邀在國際學術會議、行業或公共部門的培訓項目上發言,他還為非學術觀眾發表演講,例如 TEDx。他曾在不同機構擔任過各種訪問職務,包括牛津大學社會法律研究中心、巴黎綜合理工學院、芝加哥-肯特法學院、莫斯科高等經濟學院治理與政策系、巴黎第九大學法學院和中歐大學。

Professor Castellano is available to supervise postgraduate research students, particularly in the areas mentioned above. Professor Castellano teaches across the undergraduate (LLB), postgraduate (JD, LLM, and MSc), and executive education programmes. His courses at HKU have included:

He has previously taught a wide range of subjects at universities in Continental Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States, including Banking Law, Insolvency Law, Economic Analysis of Law, Comparative Law, and International Business Transactions. Additionally, he has designed and delivered specialized courses and executive training for professionals, business leaders, and policymakers.
