Sihao CHEN

Sihao Chen is a PhD student at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Faculty of Law. His research examines the relationship between shareholders and directors, applying economic analysis of law to compare agency and stewardship theories. Central to his work is mutual interpersonal trust (MIT) as a key variable shaping these dynamics in corporate governance.

Sihao holds an LLM in Corporate Law from University College London (UCL) and an LLB (Hons) from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), where he built a strong foundation in corporate governance. Before his PhD, he served as a Research Assistant at UCL, further fuelling his passion for the field. He also serves as the Faculty’s Wellness Ambassador, promoting student well-being and community engagement.

Outside academia, Sihao Chen enjoys playing the piano, which supports a balanced life. He is deeply committed to the HKU community and eager to contribute through rigorous research and collaboration with scholars.
