Biography
Prior to joining the University in 2025, Xin was an equity partner at DLA Piper. For over ten years, Xin practised corporate and commercial law at two international law firms, Mayer Brown JSM and DLA Piper, where she completed over 150 international acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and private equity transactions spanning over 40 countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, North America and South America.
Alongside her teaching role at the Faculty of Law, Xin serves as a part-time Consultant at Johnson Stokes & Master. Drawing on her transactional experience, she published several essays on acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate governance.
Xin holds a First-Class Honours Master’s Degree in Corporate Law from the University of Cambridge, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from The University of Hong Kong. She is dually qualified to practise Hong Kong law and PRC law.
