Research Consultancies in rewarding funding over the years
Over the years, our esteemed legal scholars including Professor Fu Hualing, Professor Simon Young, Professor Zhao Yun, Ms. Puja Kapai and Ms. Kelley Loper have engaged in research consultancies that valued over hundred thousand dollars each.  Their collaboration partners are diverse, with external organizations such as the U.S. government, U.S. Department of State, the Consulate General of the United States of America in Hong Kong, French embassy in China, Zubin Mahtani Gidumal Foundation Limited, Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF, Asia Foundation, PLAN International Hong Kong, National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, Open Society Institute, Foundation Open Institute, Privacy International and others.  The highest research consultancies funding went to: Professor Simon Young’s ‘Media Law and Policy in the Internet Age Conference’ in collaboration with Open Society Institute in the amount of HK$1, 469, 617.15 in 2013-2014; and the second highest went to: Professor Zhao Yun’s ‘Woo Po Sing Hong Kong Basic Law Fund’ in collaboration with the Tsinghua University Education Foundation (HKSAR) Limited in the amount of HK$1, 434, 234 in 2017-2018.
