Biography

Craig Purshouse joined the Faculty of Law as an Associate Professor in June 2024.

Craig’s teaching and research interests are in the law of torts and medical law, with a particular focus on the area where they overlap: medical negligence. His work has been published in leading journals such as Cambridge Law Journal, Law Quarterly Review, Legal Studies, Medical Law Review, Oxford Journal of Legal Studies and Torts Law Journal. Craig’s research has been cited by the UK Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal of Singapore, the High Court of England and Wales, the English and Scottish Law Commissions, and in the UK Parliament.

Craig is currently the Commentaries Editor of Medical Law Review. He was previously the joint Editor-in-Chief of Medical Law International and remains on the editorial board.
