Biography

Education

Jacky obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree (majoring in Accounting) at Macquarie University, Australia. He then completed the Juris Doctor, the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws and the Master of Laws (Arbitration and Dispute Resolution) programmes at the University of Hong Kong. He also holds a Master of Laws (in the specialisation of Criminology and Criminal Justice) awarded by the University of London.

Teaching

Prior to joining the Department of Law as a full-time lecturer in 2018, he was a teaching assistant in the then School of Business of the University of Hong Kong teaching undergraduate courses in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Business Law and Company Law. He also served as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Law of the same university.

He is currently responsible for teaching various undergraduate and postgraduate Evidence and Criminal Procedure courses in the Department of Law.

Research Interests

In addition to Evidence and Criminal Procedure, Jacky is developing his research interest in the legal aspects of administration and governance of schools in Hong Kong.

Legal Practice

Jacky was called to the Bar of Hong Kong in 2016 and is currently a door tenant of Droit Chambers. He receives instructions on both civil and criminal matters.
