About the event

Taking a leaf from Sir Robert Megarry’s lecture, “Law as Taught and Law as Practised”, published in (1981) 11 Hong Kong Law Journal 152, this event presents a dialogue among Mr Denis Chang SC (Honorary Professor of HKU’s Faculty of Law), Prof Albert Chen and Prof Richard Ekins KC (Hon), three eminent figures in the English or Hong Kong legal field who have done considerable public-facing work. Through their reflections on years of legal practice and/or public service, we will gain insights into the connections and disconnections between law in the classroom and law in the real world.
