HKU Alumna is selected as Chairperson of the Bar Council

The Faculty is very happy to note the election of Ms Winnie Tam Wan Chi, SC (LLB 1983, PCLL 1984) as Chairperson of the Bar Council. A pre-eminent intellectual property specialist, Ms Tam was appointed Senior Counsel in 2006. Ms Tam is an enthusiastic contributor to the Faculty, giving the 2013 Law Alumni Lecture, helping the student Oxford International Intellectual Property Law Moot team, and most recently, judging the Grand Finals of the Mooting and Dispute Resolution Programme. Even that does not exhaust the versatility of her talents – she has been one of the pillars of the Alumni Choir. The Faculty is, of course, very proud that the new leader of the Bar is also the composer of our Law Anthem.
