Workshop exploring the future of legal education with ChatGPT

The Law and Technology Centre of the Faculty organized a workshop on ChatGPT and Legal Education in the afternoon of August 21, 2023.  Given the popularity of the topic, the event attracted a full house of audience from the academic and legal sectors.  The event focused on how ChatGPT, an AI-powered language model, can be used to enhance legal education. The workshop also discussed the various pros and cons of using ChatGPT in legal education, and raised the awareness of students’ reliance on using AI-powered tools for their studies and how this could possibly change their learning attitudes and behaviors.  The event also featured a demonstration of ChatGPT, which gave the audience a practical insight into the capabilities and limits of the technology. Overall, the workshop was informative and engaging, and the attendees left with a better understanding of how ChatGPT has a revolutionary impact on legal education.
