Leon Telford VEITCH

Leon Veitch obtained an LLB with Honours and an LLM by Research at the University of Edinburgh. During the latter project, he developed an interest in the interaction between human needs and the law, in particular, the latter’s ineffectuality in supporting the former. His PhD research thus seeks to bring law closer to the systemic security of human need by expounding mechanisms by which law can better guarantee the foundational conditions of dignified life. His greatest inspirations, both within and beyond academia, include Simone Weil, Lesane Crooks, Robert Zimmerman, and Scott Veitch.
