Aokai YANG
Aokai Yang is a full-time PhD student at the University of Hong Kong. He embarked on his academic journey at the China University of Political Science and Law where he completed both his LLB and LLM degrees. Initially centered on intellectual property law during his early studying years, his research scope transitioned towards the relationship between law and society thanks to an exchange experience. To further explore this area, Aokai continued his studies at Leiden University, diving into Law and Society MSc Program. This shift led him to legal-socio studies, specifically legal anthropology, examining the social interactions within or beyond the legal systems. Aokai aims to bridges the conventional legal studies and the broader societal context, with a special focus on China issue and Chinese legal regime.
