Prakritee YONZON

As a dual qualified lawyer in India and Nepal, Prakritee has taught and practiced arbitration in multiple jurisdictions.

After completing her law degree (B.BA. LL.B.) from Symbiosis Law School in 2011, she was the first Nepali to graduate with an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2012.

Yonzon worked in the field of dispute resolution, in Bharucha & Partners, Mumbai (2013 – 2016) in a range of civil and commercial matters before the High Court of Bombay as well as independent arbitral tribunals.

She was also the youngest and first female Lecturer in Kathmandu University School of Law and also taught at National College of Law (2016-2018). She has done independent research and consultations in the field of human rights, development and law, in topics such as migrant labour rights, arbitration, independence of judiciary.

Yonzon worked a Senior Associate in Pioneer Law Associates (2019 – 2021), on general corporate advisory and arbitration related matters. She is a registered Mediator in Nepal, and is currently a PhD Candidate at University of Hong Kong.
