Global Legal Hackathon 2019 (22-24 Feb 2019)
Invitation to join Global Legal Hackathon (Feb 22-24) for the chance to represent Hong Kong at grand finals in New York
LegalRegTechHack in conjunction with Global Legal Hackathon – Hong Kong 2019 is part of the world largest legal hackathon and will be held on February 22-24, 2019 at Cyberport’s Fintech Smart Space!
Imagine what would happen if domain experts like legal practitioners, in-house counsel, compliance professionals and law students sat next to designers and technologists in AI, blockchain, cloud and big data over an entire weekend to improve the delivery of legal solutions and regulatory compliance?
And the top team gets the chance to represent Hong Kong in the grand finals in New York!
Last year’s top Hong Kong team Decoding Law (led by HKU and CUHK law students and industry technologists) developed a browser and chatbot based solution to allow unrepresented litigants to better read legislation, was selected as one of the top 14 finalists to attend the Grand Gala in New York, and won the public benefit award!
This year’s hackathon is again organised by ACMI and co-organised by LITE Lab@HKU and Cyberport, and participants will have the opportunity to use some awesome tools, including a cool sandbox toolbox with 200 APIs and data to prototype new regtech and legatech solutions! And we most welcome hackathon veterans and newbies alike!
Bring your own team or meet new friends by joining other thinkers, doers and practitioners in law, regulation and technology across Hong Kong to learn, ideate, prototype and hack technology solutions over an incredible weekend!
